Mactan, Cebu – A total of 51 Dumagueteños departed from Mactan-Cebu International Airport today to work in South Korea under the Korea Seasonal Workers Program, a key initiative of the Lupad Administration led by Mayor Felipe “Ipe” Remollo.

With the program’s guiding principle, “Trabaho, dili ayuda!” (Work, not handouts!), these workers are set to gain valuable employment opportunities abroad, ensuring a better future for their families. This departure marks another milestone in Dumaguete City’s commitment to providing sustainable livelihood programs.
Mayor Remollo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding the program so that more qualified Dumagueteños can benefit. “We will continue to strengthen this initiative to create more opportunities for our people,” he stated.
Families and friends gathered at the airport to bid farewell to the departing workers, offering prayers and encouragement as they embark on this journey.
Bon Voyage, Batch 51!
