AFP Joins 3rd Quarter 2025 Nationwide Earthquake Drill
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) actively took part in the 3rd Quarter 2025 National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on September 11, 2025.
The activity, spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), was witnessed by key officials, including AFP Acting Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Jimmy D. Larida.
The exercise tested the coordination and operational readiness of the NDRRMC, local DRRM councils, and partner agencies across the National Capital Region. Focus areas included immediate response actions, emergency communications, inter-agency collaboration, logistical operations, and urban search and rescue procedures.
The AFP’s participation in the NSED highlights its continuing role as a vital responder in the nation’s disaster preparedness and management framework.
