Pro-Duterte ‘Maisug’ to Hold Grand Rally in Dumaguete on May 1
DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental —
The Maisug movement of Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental, a coalition of supporters of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, will stage a grand rally tomorrow, Thursday, 1 May 2025, to endorse ten senatorial candidates in the May 2025 mid-term elections.
The rally is set for 6:00 p.m. at Pantawan People’s Park along Rizal Boulevard.

- Atty. Jimmy Bondoc – PDP–Laban stalwart and senatorial bet
- Sen. Robin Padilla – re-electionist
Also expected to attend are Sen. Imee Marcos and Sen. Camille Villar, both carrying Maisug’s endorsement.
Organizers
Provincial convenor Ernesto Quijano, who leads Maisug for the Negros Island Region, will spearhead the program. Event details were announced at a press conference earlier today by organizing committee members Pastor Jerome Nalam, Ramil Kiskis, Karl Laurencio and their team.
Security and traffic advisories will be issued by the Dumaguete City government ahead of the event.
