President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. celebrated Easter Sunday by calling on Filipinos to carry the spirit of Christ’s Resurrection beyond the church and into daily life, urging the nation to choose hope over despair and unity over division.

In his official Easter message dated April 5, the President described the day as the triumphant culmination of Holy Week and a sacred reminder that life conquers death.

“In the Resurrection of Christ, we find an unshakable promise that God’s grace endures, and that even in our darkest hours, faith will lead us to the light,” Marcos said.

He appealed to Filipinos to live out Easter’s message through acts of compassion, generosity and solidarity. The President said every hand extended in help becomes an instrument of renewal for the entire nation.

Marcos called on citizens to rise with renewed purpose and unyielding hope, saying the Philippines can overcome any challenge when its people stand together guided by faith and a shared vision.

“Together, let us move forward in building a Bagong Pilipinas where compassion and care for one another continue to define who we are as a people,” the President said.

He ended his message with the greeting: “Maligayang Pasko ng Pagkabuhay!”
