A total of 119 examinees successfully completed the Professional Electronics Engineers Oral Examination and Technical Evaluation conducted by the Board of Electronics Engineering, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on 23 October 2026. Testing was held across sites in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, and Legazpi, as well as in Singapore.
The PRC noted that, unlike written licensure examinations, the announcement for this particular oral and technical evaluation discloses only the number of those who passed — no total number of examinees or passing rate was published.
The Highest Electronics Engineering Title
Under Republic Act No. 9292, known as the Electronics Engineering Law of 2004, the electronics engineering profession is organized into three levels: electronics technician, electronics engineer, and professional electronics engineer. According to the PRC, the professional electronics engineer designation is the highest of the three tiers and is obtained not through a written board examination but through the oral examination and technical evaluation process administered by the Board of Electronics Engineering.
Board Members Who Conducted the Evaluation
The Board of Electronics Engineering members who carried out the Technical Evaluation were Engr. Vicente L. Cejoco, serving as Chairman, together with Members Engr. Adonis Q. Talabo and Engr. Gerhard P. Tan, the PRC stated.
Written Exam Results Released the Same Week
During the same period, the PRC also published outcomes for the October 2026 written licensure examinations. Of 2,337 examinees who sat for the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination, 1,106 passed. Meanwhile, 1,804 out of 2,057 examinees passed the Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination.
Registration Schedule
The PRC announced that registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration for October 2026 passers will begin on 13 November 2026.
Full List of Passers
The complete list of successful examinees and the official results document have been published on the PRC’s official website, where the public may verify the names of those who passed.
