DUMAGUETE CITY — The Provincial Government of Negros Oriental has released the official calendar of events for the Buglasan Festival 2026, with major activities running from October 15 to 25 under the theme “Different Stories. One Aspiration. One Negros Oriental.”
The 11-day celebration opens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Freedom Park at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, and closes on Sunday, October 25, with a fireworks display at the Provincial Capitol Grounds at 10 p.m.
The calendar lists Friday, October 16, as a province-wide holiday. That day features the festival’s marquee event, the Buglasan Festival of Festivals Streetdancing Competition, along with the Civic Military Parade and the Field Presentation and Showdown Competition.
Highlights
Among the festival’s headline events are the Hara sa Negros Oriental 2026 pageant, with its pre-competition on October 15 and grand competition on October 23; the Parada sa Kahayag (Parade of Lights) float competition and the Buglasan Pyromusical Competition on October 17; and the Buglasan Music Fest on October 24.
Nightly concerts are scheduled at the SMB Stage throughout the festival, while the Negros Oriental Buglasan Trade Fair runs October 16 to 22 at Robinsons Place Dumaguete.
